3 Days Travel to Kyoto and Osaka

Kansai consists of 7 prefectures in Western Japan and the area was the center of politics and culture of ancient Japan. Unlike the Eastern side of Japan, the people in this area speaks a slightly different dialect from standard Japanese. Kansai has two ancient capital cities like Kyoto and Nara, so if you’re looking for the experience of old Japan it is recommended to visit Kansai rather than Tokyo.

Among of the Kansai prefectures, Kyoto is one of the most popular and famous destinations of Japan and it is full of historical value architectures such as Kiyomizu Temple and Kinkakuji. As for the famous places in Kyoto, I recommend you to go to Senbon Torii (thousands of red gates) in Fishimi Inari Taisha. It’s just impressive. In the second largest city Osaka, you can enjoy Osaka food at Shinsekai and Dotonbori. There are various Osaka food like Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki and many casual restaurants have them at the inexpensive price. Try to go restaurant hopping and different Osaka food! With these 2 prefectures – Kyoto and Osaka, you would be able to have a variety of experience and enjoy Japan.
