5 Days Travel to Paris and Mont Saint Michel
I went to Paris and Mont Saint Michel in September 2014 and had an amazing time there. Fortunately I was in France during European Heritage Days, so I could enter many places like museums and monasteries with free museum admissions.
Paris has many places to visit and see like Tour Eiffel, Chateau de Versailles and Musee du Louvre. Thanks to the great transportation in Paris, it is possible to go a variety of valuable architectures and landscapes for several days with a through out planning. Also it has one of the world heritage rivers “Seine” and a lot of beautiful monuments along with it, including Notre Dome de Paris. As for the transportation (Metro), I used a mobile application from RATP called “Visit Paris by Metro” which works offline. Try it if you haven’t used yet!
Mont Saint Michel is a small island in Normandy, the Northeast of Paris registered as another world heritage of France. Although there’s not so large area for sightseeing, you can walk around the island at low tide, go up to the monastery and enjoy the postcard landscape changing. Especially at night, the atmosphere of Mont Saint Michel with all the lights is magnificent!
